Interestingly enough, this is Iowa's 3rd straight season ending with the #8 ranking... creepy.

And since they represent the school that you ATTEND, you would be unranked in a way as well....

Anyways, what's with ESPN saying "second straight national title" for USC??? Last time I checked LSU won the BCS national title last year.

There are 2 National Titles awarded every year. One by the BCS and one by the AP. Usually they go to the same team, but not always.

I thought that's what the BCS was for. To have one clear cut winner. Couldn't Auburn consider themselves national champions this year?

Fritz explained it all, it's all good.

another reason why the bcs is flawed.

only one of the major poll rankings has ever said that they would crown the same champion as the bcs.

648368[/snapback]

Quit bitching. Texas would've lost to USC too.

Also, at least the AP and ESPN/USAToday polls don't have the obvious bias that papers from places like Seattle, LA, Detroit, Miami, etc. would have.

considering i mentioned texas as a worthy contender for the national championship about zero times that makes no sense.

i simply said the system was flawed which is obvious genius.
