Sunday is Jeff Conine bobblehead day.

Which will probably draw the most fans... Then the Mikey/Dontrelle poster... Then the floppy hats... :w00t :shifty

You're crazy - we traded an underperforming first round pick, a throw in from the Dumpster trade and a marginal double A prospect.

We have plenty of talent to replace all three.

Gonzalez is hitting .300 in AA. Snare will be a solid reliever in the future. Smith will probaly be a backup outfielder. Gonzalez has a great glove and I see him in a lot of All Star games in the future. But thats my opinion and I doubt you will agree so let's wait a while to see who is right and who is wrong. I think slaphands is Bernadino in disguise

SlapHands, I think you WILL see Adrian in some AS games in his career, but I honestly believe you'll see Stokes in more... MANY more...

Only two guys on WQAM support the Marlins.

1)Scott Ferrall

2)Joe Rose

...Sad isn't it. Boog needs a radio show again.

The thing is, I haven't read ONE SINGLE opinionated column on it. That's what I was hoping to see. I wanted to see the variations of opinions...

If you noticed it, the Herald played the Marlins down on the front page of the sports section, under the fold and as minimally as they could without totally ignoring it. But then again, what else can you expect from a sports section run by the number one Marlins-hater in all of South Florida, Richard Bush?

Can't speak to the Sun-Sentinel front page coverage, didn't see it this morning (except on the web). I did think they (including Mike Berardino) did a good job covering the story, from what I read.

Here's hoping Mike and the Marlins can bury the hatchet soon, which is not to say I expect him to be a cheerleader, that's not his job and I'd be disappointed in him if he did, but they've had their tiff, time to mend fences on both sides and being respectful of the job each is doing.

As I said in a post elsewhere, these must be terrible times for the dynamic duo of Marlins bashing, Dan LeBatard and Orlando Alzegary. It's not by coincidence that they both work for Richard Bush. You could win a Pulitzer for reporting and not get a job in his newsroom if you were pro-Marlins. He's a tyrant and a despicable character who has gone out of his way to try and destroy this franchise the last three or four years. He is one of the sorriest excuses for an editor in newspaper publishing today. There is no ugly rumor he isn't willing to float, there is no insult he isn't willing to hurl, there is no baseless accusation he isn't willing to make. As long as he is employed by Knight-Ridder their reputation will be a tarnished one.

But back to Alzegary and LeBatard. Don't you wonder what poison he'll spew about the Marlins tomorrow morning on ESPN radio? No doubt he'll have something negative to say. And poor Orlando, now forced to pretend to be a fan after the obnoxious and degrading lies he spread about this team over the last fifteen months. He must want to vomit every time he gets another phonecall trumpeting the success of the team. Let's all snd him some Kaopectate. :w00t

Eddie K isnt all that bad, neither is Mad Dog

Kaplan isn't very positive, even when they do win. Mad Dog just yells that they are good, but need to spend more to do better.

Boog needs a radio show again!

The Miami Herald's sports page might've been mediocre on the Fish, but El Nuevo Herald's page was sweet! There was a HUGE picture of Willis and his All-Star article. Then, there was a column on the Ugy acquisition, a box about the win, which linked to another page. Then, there was a little column on Zo's move to the Nets. But the LARGE majority of the page was all Marlins! :)

Thats no surprise, El Nuevo Herald and the Ovacion is always big on the Fish :D
