Enc for Tim Redding

Houston has rotation of Clemens/Pettitte/Oswalt/Backe/Munro locked up, most likely...

Houston is in desperate need of an OFer since Berkman will be out for a little while.. and then when Berkman gets healthy, they can move Biggio back to 2B and Enc to CF. It then gives us our insurance starter/long relief man in Tim Redding.

Redding was injured last year but the year before pitched 176 innings with a 3.68 ERA, fwiw.

Any thoughts on that idea?

I think the more likely question is, what if Burnett or Beckett or Leiter gets hurt AGAIN?

don't think that'll happen cuz we got a better pitching coach that knows when there tired.

Houston has money to spend so they can take on Encs contract.. gets a future replacement for Bagwell since he is getting up in age and gives us our insurance starter/long relief man in Tim Redding.

Enc would replace Bagwell? Bagwell plays 1B, Enc plays OF?

sorry, i edited my original title thread but forgot to edit the text. originally i had stokes involved and he was the replacement for Bagwell.. but i dumbed it down a notch to enc straight up for redding since they need OF pretty badly.
