February 23, 200521 yr My fantasy draft just ended and here is my team: C: Jason Kendall 1B: Sean Casey 2B: Mark Loretta 3B: Troy Glaus SS: Carlos Guillen OF1: Miguel Cabrera OF2: Ichiro Suzuki OF2: Scott Podsednik (for the SB's) UTIL: Jack Wilson Bench1: Jeromy Burnitz Bench2: Frank Thomas Bench3: Mark Kotsay Bench4: Jermaine Dye Pitchers: Jake Peavy AJ Burnett El Duque Russ Ortiz David Wells Tom Glavine Trevor Hoffman Juan Rincon Here are the stats that matter: Offense; HR, RBI, BA, SB, Runs Pitching; Wins, Saves, ERA, SO, WHIP How do you guys think I did, and would you recommend any trades?
February 23, 200521 yr i'd go with Victor Z. personally. That offense will help with lots of run support.
February 23, 200521 yr Lol. I'd say Ortiz because Victor Z. walks a bunch of them and wells is fat, and Beantown is a launching pad. Ortiz has good protection in the rotation anyway.
February 23, 200521 yr Author of these two pitchers, who would you pick... Julian Tavarez or Tom Glavine? I'd probably end up trading one of them, so which has the most trade value?
February 23, 200521 yr Glavine. Tavarez sucks. Plus I wouldnt want him on my team because he'd be hard to root for. he's a punk.
February 23, 200521 yr Author I have 3 picks left in the draft, these will be either for my bench or to trade, who should I go for? Frank Thomas Austin Kearns Dallas McPherson Jacque Jones Mark Kotsay Dmitri Young Tino Martinez Jermaine Dye which 3 would you choose? also if you have any sleeper picks i'd love to hear them, but a lot of guys are already taken.
February 23, 200521 yr If Dye can stay healthy he could put up some pretty big numbers in Chicago and of course Mark Kotsay is the man
February 23, 200521 yr Author I heard Peter Gammons saying big things about Dallas McPherson and how he's the best prospect in all of baseball right now, perhaps I could hold onto him for some trade value.
February 23, 200521 yr Sleepers if not taken: Mauer, dave roberts,bj upton, marcus giles, justin morneau
February 23, 200521 yr Author Kearns and McPherson got taken before I could pick. I ended up taking a chance on Jermaine Dye and also Mark Kotsay. I have 1 pick left, i'm going to try and get the Big Hurt hopefully no one else takes him... unless of course one of you guys have a suggestion other than the Big Hurt. Jacque Jones, Dmitri Young, and Tino are still left on that list I posted above.
February 23, 200521 yr Author Draft is over, I think I did pretty well... i'll update the first post with my team so you guys can rate it :thumbup . Also, thanks everyone for all the help
February 23, 200521 yr Author BTW, I had the 10th pick overall so I really missed out on some premiere guys, I wanted to take Miguel Tejada first if I had a better position in the draft.

I think that you obviously got stuck at the end, getting Dye and Wells But if you were to make a trade, don't touch the positional players...Unless you can package a stud and dud to get two 'good' players. Very rounded lineup. Lacking a bit in power, but you are going to get plenty of runs from that group. BA won't be an issue... Starting pitchers are a bit suspect--but I'd wait until spring training to see how they perform.
February 23, 200521 yr get D. young if you can.... he's third base eligible. You have no power too, assuming Glaus will get hurt.

It's a good 12 team league team It's maybe a bit average for a 10 team league.
