14 of the next 16 games are at home.

The Marlins have a perfect opportunity here to gain ground in the Wild Card race and really will define the rest of the season. :hat

We have historically been a great team at home, and wins early on, especially in this Cub series, will result tin some big encouraging crowds.

i hope so

We do much better at home, and now we can see most of the games for awhile. Meaning: MORE DONTRELLE APPEARANCES FOR US TO SEE

Someone please explain to me the purpose of the 2-game series in Atlanta...

There are so few 2 game series nowadays...

And it doesnt make sense for the Marlins to travel from Miami to Atlanta for two days and back...

Am I missing something?

We have a two gamer at home against Montreal, then the one in ATL, then back to Miami.

Now is the perfect time to go on a 10 game winning streak. We need something like that to make a splash, but it isnt necessary. If we can win at least 10 of these next 16 games, we will be doing very well.

On a funny note, the Miami Herald - that roll of toilet paper - said the following:

"Assuming it will require no fewer than 94 wins, the Marlins would have to go 48-25 the rest of the way."

We are currently 49-46. With 48 more wins, we would have 97 wins...cmon! Simple math anyone? Written by Clark Spencer, I was hoping it was Le Retard or the other guy I cant stand down there...

What I figured is that since Trader Jack took over, the team's winning at about a 60% clip. If that continues for the entire rest of the season they'd go 40-27 and wind up with a record of 89-73, which would be pretty damn good.

What they need is a nice long streak. 7 or 8 games I'm thinking. :)

That's been in the back of my headas well. If they can just do what Arizona did to jolt them in the wild card and go on a good solid win streak, or win maybe 10 of the games in this homestand for example, we would be ballin. It would extreamely help us.
