Sure...whatever you say...

I hope you remember this when Craig Biggio is up for nomination.

Biggio is getting 3000 hits.

Will be top 10 all time in doubles.

Has most leadoff homers from a leadoff hitter in national league.

Was an all star at two different positions.

The 3000 hits will cement his spot.

Next.

Big deal...I don't consider him "elite."

:whistle

Its not a Joke....what there supposed to let players that dont deserve it get in just so they can make people happy,i dont think so....even if it means nobody get in for 10 years thats the way it should be runned...if u werent good enough your not getting in....i like that nobody got in the year cause i dont consider any of those guys H.O.Fers...

Your'e right..if he gets to 3,000 hits he deserves to go...I just don't think of him as a player that strikes fear into the opposition.

I respectfully disagree...players such as Hodges, Santo and Kaat are certainly HOF worthy. Comparing statistics from different errors can be misleading.

Would you advocate Jose Canseco for the Hall?

Jose will never see the Hall for 2 reasons....he didnt put up the numbers and because of the book....as for hodges and kaat IMO they just werent dominate players even though they did have good stats...but the hall isnt all about stats, thats why they didnt get in.....

None of the players you mention strike "fear into the opposition"

Really? :mischief2 Hodges, Santo & Oliva didn't strike fear into opposing pitchers??? Interesting...how would you know this? You weren't even born when they were playing.

I would defer to some of the "veterans" on this board...perhaps Marlins2003 or Chin High could offer up some opinions. I believe the Santo argument has already been made.

Im sorry I didnt beat all those other sperm out sooner...

And ill defer to the people who actually vote on this...and their voice has spoken.

I thought that both Hodges and Santo deserved election. This new Veterans' Committee has yet to elect any players since it was formed. I really don't think that adding Hodges and Santo would dilute the talent in the Hall, when there are plenty of players in there already that didn't deserve the honor in the first place.
