July 20, 200322 yr yea...i was gonna make a post giving him props...u beat me too it Penny pitched a hell of a game...1 run 4 hits is "willis level" pitching...our offense sucked tonight and unfortunately penny had to be the victim of it. :confused

July 20, 200322 yr Yea, the crowd wasn't a sellout (30,000) but it was big and loud and they into it all night. Not one person left untill the last pitch. Dispite the loss, I think they'll all be back... In my section (snuck 20 rows behind home plate in the 4th) the Cub fans got peanuts thrown at them... Plus, he did have a perfect game going 'till the 5th...

July 20, 200322 yr I think somebody taught Brad Penny how to "Pitch" during the break. He was actually locating his pitches! absolutely amazing i dont care about the L because this is a great sign for a huge 2nd half.

July 20, 200322 yr As some of you may know, I have always questioned Penny's heart and his ability to play to his level of talent. Tonight, he made me see what could happen when this guy puts it together. The thing that sold me? He was throwing in the upper 90's when he struck out his last batter of the night, Sammy Sosa. He also got visibliy pumped, screaming as he walked off the mound and pumping his fist. The crowd went wild. I loved it...too bad our offense just couldnt get going.
