Remote control hunt on the net - w/live ammo

I actually had a long debate with my Texas roommate who is an avid hunter and opposses this too. I cant see any problem with this compared to hunting in general. The only reason he could provide for me was that it undermines the sanctity of true hunters or something...like a steroids for hunters.

If its in the guy's own private property and he is limited by what ever laws are applicable to hunters in general, then I dont see whats wrong with it.

Its like saying hiring a really good basketball player to be in your weekend bball league takes away from the NBA.

Im not sure i understood the article, this is hunting through the internet right? Meaning you dont get to go out and experience the actual sport. This is stupid b/c its like playing a video game but with real consequences, the point of hunting is going outdoors and enjoying the sport, not just senseless killing of animals over a computer.

Leave it to Texas.

But this does allow handicapped people to hunt.

Maine has outlawed internet hunting however. Wisconsin is trying to, as well as Texas, so this might be shut down by then end of May.

The thing I find funny is that hunters want to make it illegal because it undermines the sportsmanship and integrity of the hunt. Yet they get all pissed off when animal rights groups try to encroach on their rights. I guess its ok to tell others what to do as long as it doesnt encroach on your values.

It's hunting for really lazy people.
