Drop Delgado?

Recommended Posts

I don't appreciate the stupid comment, but anyway I thought it was a good idea since ENC has been more patient. 52 million or not, the top of the order needs to consist of contact, cabrera is proven at the 4th spot, delgado in the fifth spot can do what Andrew Jones does for the Braves.

Delgado is a more patient hitter than Encarnacion(in their careers)

am not saying career, for right now, delgado has less patience at the plate than Encarnacion, and he's hot, u move him up and he will get more pitches to hit with Cabrera and Delgado batting right after. For one moment don't be such a fan and think realistically, Can ENC produce from the third spot, aren't a team's hottest hitters suppose to grab a hold of 3-4? We might be 6-3, but how much better can it be with ENC in the third hole?

Dude, am entitled to my opinion, I as manager of the Marlins would do it, your problem is your just a fan, just cause a name is Carlos Delgado doesn't mean he mean he can't hit fifth, and doesn't mean enc can't emerge.

Im just saying your reasoning doesnt make sense

you say lets ride Enc's hot streak, but he is 2 for his last 16

you say he is in that slump because he is hitting 5th, Lo Duca is giving him enough protection

I see no reason to move Delgado down in the order just so Encarnacion can hit with RISP instead of someone a bit more proven

guys like delgado are designed to protect other hitters. we have three guys like him, LOWELL (struggling but will break through it), Cabrera, Delgado himself, I was just thinking with enc hot we could experiment, which Jack is not against. You know what, next time I see jack at gate A am going to shoot the idea.

OK, am staying with the idea, in my eyes it's a great idea, if you guys don't see what I see I'm not going to bash you to see the point. No point in arguing. Seems like everyone wants to be an expert.

you give up a bit too easily

no it's just dumb to me, I don't give up easy for things that matter, but am entitled to my opinion, and you seem glued to yours, it's one AM, and I have things to do other than typing in a forum about something I will never be able to convince anyone here about except for 1 or two maybe, in conclusion my idea stands, I feel like enc is perfect for the third spot, delgado and cabrera scare more than lo duca, sorry to burst your bubble, he'd get wayyyyyy more to hit, enc has contact, power, and speed, it compliments pierre and castillo at the top, shame you don't see what I see, but hey it's cool, your also entitled to your opinion, and to everyone else that thinks am stupid, thanks for the compliment, it just make my time here sweeter since I have your attention. GO MARLINS! ALL HAIL THE MIGHTY FISH, AND BOW TO mr. Marlins himself, JEFF CONINE!

I personally like Cabrera hitting 3rd and they should bring Lowell back to the Clean up give him some type of push to show they trust him and he will pull out remember he became the Mike Lowell we all love when he was hitting in the clean up roll i agree put delgado at the 5th spot leave Enc at the 6th spot even if he is hot or not let him and delgado and lo duca run the back end this line up is filled with guns no matter how you move them around you are never going to be happy. The top two Juan and Luisand the last 2 Alex and Pitcher of the day are the only spot you know will be the same every day. well unless d-train is batting s*** on day Jack should put his big ass at the clean up spot. What do you think ESPN would say about that.

Eventually I'd like to see Cabrera or Lowell moved ahead of Delgado in the lineup. Not for way they are or not hitting. It would helpful to each's development.

Cabrera's best spot is clean-up with Mike Lowell in the 5th spot.

1. Juan Pierre

2. Luis Castillo

3. Carlos Delgado

4. Miguel Cabrera

5. Mike Lowell

6. Juan Encarnacion

7. Paul LoDuca

8. Alex Gonzalez

The perfect line-up.

I'm sure a WS winning manager loves to hear how to run his 1st place team by a fan. :cool
