JetsMania
seems like you are doing pretty well also love seattle & san fran (although I hate so cal) ... baltimore is a dump, but the inner harbor and camden yards are sweet DC is fun, but not top 5 for me ... but a very nice choice i'm kind of a travel junkie, so these topics are of obvious interest 755158 Where else have you been? I just recently got hooked on traveling and I have alot of plans for the next year. I am going to china/thailand/vietnam/singapore in 10 days! I cant wait
JetsMania
I guess my top 5 are Boston (where I live now haha) Seattle Las Vegas Reykavik, Iceland Madrid
JetsMania
I'm surprised so many people have Baltimore and DC listed. Besides Camden Yards and the inner harbor there isn't much to do here in Baltimore. It isn't an awful college town though. DC makes a little more sense due to the museums and political environment, but it's still a cesspool. 755438 I agree. Some parts of dc are cool, but alot of it is caca
Guest marlins02
in no particular order cooperstown new york washington dc tucson, az (i lived there for 4 years and met some cool people so thats why) disney (i love the place, what can i say?) i went to nyc, cooperstown and dc on the same trip and its probably the best trip i ever took. things were so good back then. meanwhile, a trip i took to the DR last summer was no doubt the worst trip i ever took. it was the vacation from hell. I just recently got hooked on traveling and I have alot of plans for the next year. I am going to china/thailand/vietnam/singapore in 10 days! I cant wait 755441 Jets - travelling is much fun, I usually look for deals and hit some not so common places ... bang for the buck, 'cause i'm far from rich I grew up in upstate NY, so niagra falls and canada were really close I went to school in Philly, so NY, DC, Baltimore were all within a couple hours I have relatives in Naples & Marathon (FL on both accounts) I haven't hit Asia and would absolutely love it ... that trip sounds like a lot of fun ... always been intrigued by Singapore I lived in London for 6 months which allowed me to hit Edinburgh, Glasgow & Oban in Scotland ....... also went to many of the smaller cities in England (the train system is great) ..... Wales was a lot of fun as well ... stonehedge overated While over there I also hit France (although not Paris), Belgium and Holland (including Amsterdam) In Italy I went to Rome, Sorrento, Naples & Capri - such an amazing country I've been to a couple spots in Mexico and will be heading to the Riviera Maya this summer - usually not the biggest Mexico fan I've also spent time in SD, LA, SF/Oak - prefer northern CA over southern CA Portland & Seattle are both a lot of fun and Boise is actually entertaining & nice I lived in Denver for a little while which is a great city ... weirdest weather ever, but very cool place Albuquerque is where my brother has lived off & on .... really kind of a boring place, although Sante Fe is beautiful and worth a visit Phoenix is nice because of the weather and it's a good resort town and has a couple really fun districts ... no downtown whatsoever though Grand Canyon is impressive, but it's something you need to have some other plans while up there (hiking, etc) I lived in minneapolis for a year and was able to explore MN, Iowa & Wisc to some degree ...... Milwaukee can be fun, although it isn't the cleanest place ever Minneapolis is awesome ... only downside is the weather Upstate NY is very nice, especially in the fall when the leaves turn ... lots of lakes, wineries, gorges, etc ...... I recommend it for a laid back get away Vermont is very pleasant as well I also have relatives in pittsburgh & dayton, so I've done those areas a couple times as well ... overall I like Ohio The keys are sweet as well, but I'm sure other can speak better on FL than myself Places in the US I'd like to hit would be Coeur d'Alene, the south (LA, AR, MS, AL), west TX Where have you been/ where are you looking at? Guest Fritz
also went to many of the smaller cities in England (the train system is great) :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol We must've gone to different Englands. The train system sucks and now that they're using the high-speed Virgin trains on conventional tracks, it's even worse. Germany on the other hand, has an awesome system. PhxPhin
heh, compared to Amtrack, NJT & Septa the kiddie train @ the fair seems like a marvel in engineering seriously though, i never had a problem in england ... they always were ontime, fairly comfortable and not too pricey ... in 6 months, the only problems I came across was missing a train because it was too on time and my breakfast took too long and i was delayed going from Glasgow to Oban

The prices aren't bad though.

Mabdul Doobakus
Top 5 US/Canada 1. LA 2. Seattle/Vancouver 3. NYC 4. San Fran 5. New Orleans Top 5 Everywhere else 1. Tokyo 2. Shanghai 3. London 4. Venice 5. Prague Off the top of my head anyway. I'm basing this on places that'd be fun to live in. I've been to some real shitholes that were great to visit, but I'd never want to live there. Bangkok comes to mind...
