Lowell may have had the biggest decline since last year of any starter in baseball. Lowell makes Giambi look like an All Star hitter this year. I hope Castillo gets healthy soon so we can move Easily to third. Our offense is terrible without Castillo. Gonzo/Lowell are as sure an out as you can find for starters in baseball. :thumbdown

Maybe we should move him to the second spot to let him get fast balls and break out of it. For the record, I'm not saying he was on roids. I won't deny it hasn't crossed my mind. For all the people getting cracked on for slowing down once roid testing has started, I can't think of a player that has hit worse compared to his old self than Lowell this year. Him and Chavez are battling for that title right now. They've gone from top 5 3B to maybe the two worst hitting 3B in baseball. :blink:

Slump, roids, injuries, personal problems that has his mind away from baseball, etc. I have no idea what is wrong with him. That's why I started this thread asking if I've missed something. I haven't started a thread on this board in months. I've been very busy and can't keep up with much on the Internet lately. I don't know what is wrong with Lowell, but it is more than just a slump. His confidence is shot. Why is it shot? I don't know. Hopefully he'll cure it soon. At least Lowell is still good at defense. :thumbup
