On a ball that didnt even roll to the wall, Jack Wilson scores from first because Enc takes his f***in sweet ass time to get the ball in.

 

A play earlier in the night had a chance to get Wilson at home yet Enc threw the ball like a girl into 2B

 

and maybe its me venting but I thought he could have laid out for Jack Wilson's bloop single in his last at bat

Nobody had more than one hit today for the Marlins I see. I don't think anyone really gave it their all. And if they did, then their all is not enough. This is just getting really pathetic. I don't even know how to describe it. We have a lot of good players that are doing nothing.

He plays defense like he is supposed to and we don't lose by 8.

Encarnacion always does that, he takes his SWEET time catching the ball. He doesnt play with energy out there. It has never come back to haunt him but today it did.

Uh, this isn't football .. basketball .. whatever sports they use points in. And Enc contributed to our offense scoring one run. He surely didn't help us score more than one run. And Enc contributed to the other team scoring 9 runs, because he doesn't care to play defense. Cabrera has been slumping sorta (he does have a high avg, but it's slowly coming down to earth) lately aswell. I wouldn't say he gives it his all either, since well .. we all know how he plays on D.

I disagree with the last part -- Cabrera's defensive shortcomings aren't due to a lack of effort -- he just simply isn't very gifted as far as being an outfielder is concerned. His range is very limited and is a poor judge of fly balls. That being said -- he's been very good so far this year and made a nice play earlier in the game cutting off a ball that probably would have scored a run. Encarnacion, on the other hand, has defensive shortcomings simply due to lackadaisical play -- he doesn't give a damn. He's a guy that has the speed, arm, and eye to probably win a gold glove, but today cost us at least three runs because of his lethargic play. With his arm he could have easily gunned Wilson out at the plate but instead decided on a lazy throw in to second -- and the second time he let Wilson score because he took his sweet time to get the ball to the (WRONG) cutoff man is just flat out stupid baseball.

 

I don't care if Encarnacion isn't very gifted with the bat as long as he gave it his all -- but his lack of effort is inexcusable. If he's in the lineup tomorrow I seriously can't comprehend what in the world McKeon is thinking
