June 8, 200519 yr I'll be sure to check it out. :thumbdown I stopped watching wrestling long before the WCW was purchased by WWF now known as WWE. They actually used to have some decent writers back in the day. This was about the time they made the Ready to Rumble movie.

This was about the time they made the Ready to Rumble movie. 801065[/snapback] I found it ironic you mentioned good writers were around about the time "Ready to Rumble" was made The problem (IMO) with the writers today are that they are Hollywood- guys who have written for sitcoms or other TV shows. There are really no "wrestling" guys on the staff who have power. For example- Raw's head writer (Brian Gewirtz) previously wrote for "Big Wolf On Campus" (TV show on USA, I think) and Jenny McCarthy's sitcom, "Jenny." Smackdown head writer Dave Lagana was on the writing staff of the sitcom "Ladies Man." Another thing is continuity. The writers have the attention span of a tsietse fly, and often forget details of past feuds (i.e. that Edge and Christian are brothers in storyline terms). It's REAL annoying.
