It's kind of a funny hit streak.. only 1 of the 16 games has he had a multi-hit game.

 

But anyway, Alex has had a hit in 37 of his last 40 games.. pretty impressive.

Chewbacca, some may think thats a crazy statment but i really do believe he is up there at least in the top 5. Last year he led the NL in Hrs and i think RBIs if not he was close. Also he contributes so much on the defensive side that he is constantly saving runs.

Felipe Lopez is the only one really standing out in NL shortstops.. Sea Bass, Vizquel, Eckstein, Izturis and Neifi Perez are all kind of lumped together for the 2nd spot... Lopez will probably get the reserve if Izturis or whoever is voted in tho.

Ever since Renteria Left the NL the shortstops seem to be so medicore of course that is beside SeaBass

I think he means defensively, which is something the fans sould consider when they vote.

If Alex can keep this up through the second half he may just earn his first GG.

If he can atleast keep his hitting streak until 25 games he'll get a lot of attention and if he gets his hit streak that far he'll definently IMO win the GG. Aslong as he hits over .280 for the season he's alright.
