Sun Sentinel: "Encarnacion to Yanks for Quantrill?

Featured Replies

Enc clearly needs motivation. If given the opportunity at CF I think he might try even hard to keep it.

he did do that diving play over the wall for that ball a few games ago? But he also had two errors in that game too :(

what is the chances of them pullinbg back up chris Aguilia back into the majors. He has been playing good down there was told on the minor's thread. He could be a good defensive player out there and the kid has heart. Then you could move enc easily but not for this deal, something else please.

the same chances of Willingham getting 2 starts in a row

No questions asked Valk? Not even close? Because Enc certainly isn't slow. I don't think he'd embarass himself in center. Plus he has a shotgun of an arm, while JP has a pop-gun.

Ramp and I have discussed this before too.

Move Enc to center field and suddenly you go from a below average (offensively) corner outfielder to a pretty decent hitting center fielder.

Why can't the Marlins ever target good relievers?

I don't think Beinfest realizes that people like Graves, Quantrill, and Julio are "available" for a reason.

And why would other teams trade us their good relievers? Don't you think they'd realize the guys we offer are "available" for a reason?

If it means Willingham starts in Right, yes.

If it means anyone else starts in Right, no.

Well quantrill and stanton are about to be released

The Yankees may be planning to release both Paul Quantrill and Mike Stanton on Thursday.

Quantrill and Stanton shook hands and exchanged hugs with teammates and club personnel after Wednesday night's rainout at Camden Yards. Quantrill would not comment after leaving the clubhouse, and Stanton said, ''You can read between the lines.'' One of the roster spots is expected to be filled by another utility infielder, Felix Escalona. The Yankees could also recall Colter Bean if both Quantrill and Stanton go. Jun. 30 - 1:38 am et

why so he can strike out like last night again? I rather have Aguila or Hermida up then Willigham personally.

if we are trading them Enc like ESPN radio reports it willbe for something useful and needed watch. I wouldnt be surprised if perhaps even for Wang.

This thread is like watching the Three Stooges doing play by play.

Trading Encarnacion for a guy who has, or is on the cusp of being released? Can't play D? JP can't play CF? lololololol

Have you clowns thought about taking your act on the road with Barnum and Bailey?
