Poor Delgado

His average has been going down ever since Lowell's sorry ass was put back behind him in the lineup. :confused

Nice protection right? He doesn't get anything to hit, but he is chasing anything that is thrown at him

I decided to look it up and found out that since Jack went back to the opening day lineup (June 10th) Carlos is batting about .260

Damn! I realized it was bad, but I had no clue it was that bad. We need to move Delgado back to 3 and Cabrera back to 4. Plus, send Lowell to 8.

I don't understand why he went back to the opening day lineup in the first place. It didn't work then either!

After this let's hope Jack is ready to switch things around.

Don't plan on Lowell coming around any time soon.

I think the reason Delgado's average has gone down is because he feels like he has to swing for the fences every time if he expects to score. He probably has a lot of doubts about Lowell coming to the plate behind him. We all do unfortunately...

We've established that his batting average has gone down, but might it also be true that he has struck out on a more consistent basis?

I think 9 runs on that opening day worked pretty nicely.
