July 2, 200521 yr I think the reason Delgado's average has gone down is because he feels like he has to swing for the fences every time if he expects to score. He probably has a lot of doubts about Lowell coming to the plate behind him. We all do unfortunately... We've established that his batting average has gone down, but might it also be true that he has struck out on a more consistent basis?
