Guest CHRISTYTOD
No kidding - he should NOT be allowed to ump our games - it's not right. He squeezes our pitchers EVERY TIME. It's SO obvious what he is doing too. Dontrelle is going to have to beat the Mets AND the ump today.

ChambersWI
to be fair to the umps, the one pitch that would of K'd Piazza was off the plate.
Michael
He was a little better this inning..
D-Train35
It was pretty blantant in the first inning that his calls weren't the same for both pitchers. I didn't even know it was Wolf until just now, and it makes complete sense--he's been upsetting Marlins players and fans alike for years now. Ramp
imo, its not a big deal Wolf called a pretty good game for the most part
RossInfoMan
I know its a convenient excuse in case the Marlins lose when hes behind the plate, but this comes up every year, and its a really lame argument. Wolf was more then fair today and there has never been a problem with him.
D-Train35
This was the conversation: Willis: Come on, what are you doing? Wolf: I need the Marlins to lose so they Phillies can gain ground. Willis: But if the Mets lose the Phillies definately won't be in last place at the end of the night. Wolf: Good point. You got it.

Not the inside or outside corner. Tommy, Waltz, Yiki and Felo all pointed this out. I trust their baseball knowledge. Seems like everything was fine after that. You don't squeeze a strong Cy Young contender at the plate like that.
Mets_bs
imo, its not a big deal Wolf called a pretty good game for the most part 838228[/snapback] Be honest, Dontrelle got some pretty generous calls all day. He probably had the Mets beat anyway, but Wolf called anything but a good game.

Wolf sucks for his inconsistencies, but he wasn't calling our game.

RossInfoMan
To say he was making bad calls and claiming a conspiracy are two completely different things. The conspiracy argument is what I think is pretty lame. Im not saying he didnt make some bad calls.
PBMarlin
Dontrelle said in the postgame interview that he told Wolf he was just going to keep hitting the same spots all day long and Wolf could just call them any way he wanted. It was a friendly way to stand up to him and make a point. And it looked like Dontrelle's approach had a positive effect as Wolf loosened up as the game went on.
