Hey, I don't care about the Angels. Remember all the talk about Detroit at the beginning of the season? They were practically given the WS before the season started. The Fish is the team everyone is afraid of. I have to worry about the Mutts tonight. I can't worry about Angels till the Final series of the season. Beinfest will lead us to the Promised land. :angel but unlike the Tigers, the Angels have great starting pitching (who would want to face Lackey-Saunders-Santana-Weaver-Garland is a helluva rotation) and a very very good bullpen (though you've got to admit, they could use an upgrade at closer)

the Petit for Julio trade. Not because Petit is great, but Lugo was just god awful for us.

The Rockies asking price is to high it might be better if we went after Damaso Marte or George Sherrill The Orioles have said that they will only trade Sherrill if they are blown away by an offer so he might be tougher to get than Fuentes.

many think he'll go through the system quickly, I think it all depends on how good he actually is defensively.

let's remember, Skipworth was also named the Gatoraid Player of the Year so it's not like he's a scrub. Honestly, some of you are acting like we just reached for a player, he was considered a top 10 prospect, and some also say he's the best catcher. Posey's more developed defensively and is faster, otherwise Skipworth is better offensively

I got home too late to see the Marlins pick on ESPN2....what did the talking heads say about the Skipworth pick? at best you've got a very good catcher, at worst he's moved to either firstbase or a corner outfield, but either way they expect him to be a star.

Oh well, now who do we take?? Some catcher who will be ready in 20 years. Skipworth is supposedly the best prep catcher since Joe Mauer. What's wrong with that?

sounds like Matusz will be an Oriole. Bit of a pity, I wanted him. sounds like after that the Giants will take Smoak, and then we'll take Skipworth BUT we do have a lot of interest in a couple pitchers (and I don't think anybody expected Posey to last till 6 so he might be the pick)

i think the royals will. if we take skipworth instead of posey i am going to be so pissed I dunno. Some people think that Skipworth will be better than Posey down the road. It all depends on what you want, a guy that could be hard to sign, but could also help as early as next season or the kid that could develop into a great player, but could also end up changing positions.

living in the Pittsburgh market, I can tell you that the Pirate fans are ecstatic about getting Alvarez. Their old regime screwed them over by taking guys who would be easy to sign rather than guys that could help (which looking at their farm system, shows)

got to love how long it takes for them to even start the clock. I'dlove to get Posey since I feel he could be in the big leagues real quick. I wouldn't object to one of the college pitchers or Skipworth though

I can't believe we got ripped off by Jim Bowden. Imagine how bad the Nationals would be without the trade last year? imagine how dumb Bowden feels about not trading Soriano when he had the chance. They really don't have many pieces they can trade to help them get better in the future either

Geoff Geary is sub Major league level.... and he was the guy that got them out of jams last year. I live in the Philly market, and I can tell you that the Phillies are nothing but hype. On paper their rotation looks good, but their BP is hideous, and Howard has NO protection.

just to clarify why Noah is projected top 10; he does everything else well. I'm not a Gators fan, and I think he'll be a decent role player for any team (Suns would be ideal, but I think McRoberts of Duke i the perfect fit for them)

I guess Annibel is more ready than anybody thought he was. Willis-JJ-Olsen-Nolasco-Sanchez looks pretty good.

He still gets paid. I don't know if he'll get that much, especially since he has a torn rotator cuff.
