July 4, 200521 yr Anyone else with me that this has been the worst summer movie season in a long time? Last year, their were a handful of good to great movies, this year Batman has been the only one I really loved. It doesn't look like it's getting much better either, Fantastic 4, Stealth, Willy Wonka, all look bad. The only movie at the top of my head that I'm really looking forward to is The 40 year old virgin.
July 4, 200521 yr Last year was garbage. The only movies from last year that I liked were Collateral, Manchurian Candidate, and Shrek 2. This year has been far superior with Batman, Star Wars, Crash, Sin City, Cinderella Man, etc.
July 4, 200521 yr The thing is that I was looking foward to this summer alot, but so far I've been disappointed. At least Batman and Sin City were both awesome.
July 4, 200521 yr This has been the best summer movie season since 1979, just because Star Wars Episode 3 came out. I got a copy of the DVD from overseas(pretty good quality) so I won't keep bankrupting myself by seeing in theatres over and over again.

July 4, 200521 yr Author Sin City was great but I don't think that's a summer movie. Star Wars was probably the first summer movie.
July 4, 200521 yr I've only seen 5 movies this summer and this is how I'd rank them: 1. Batman Begins (The seperation is to illustrate how superior it is to the other four) 2. Crash 3. War Of The Worlds 4. The Longest Yard 5. Star Wars Maybe it's just because Batman was so good - But it seems the other movies haven't been very good at all this summer.

July 4, 200521 yr I wanna see the willy wonka flick you cant go wrong with Tim Burton & johnny Depp duo ... its freaking Tim Burton, even if the movie sucks I would go simply for the settings and the imagination of Burton

Every wannabe goth in the world likes to put him on a cloud above every film director. He's a good filmmaker but their's many more who are in a much higher league.
