a gay priest? doesnt the Bible say something about homosexuality being a sin? no wonder a lot of people have turned away from religion. i would like to hear everyone's opinions. what church is it again, the episcoples?

Yes while I was in NH this was all over The Local Media seeing that it's in NH.

 

I don't really care seeing that it does not affect my church. I don't mind The Priests are gay but I do mind that they get to that type of power in the church.

 

Christian views are being thrown out the window and I don't know if I like it because when one falls they all fall.

this action seems to me like they're saying "all you secretly gay priest can come out now, leave the damn children alone now". im not joking, this really seems to me like they're trying to allow priests to come out and maybe stop them(the crooked ones, i know they dont all do this) from molesting children. its crazy.

And the Bible is a rule book when it comes to clergy. In the area talking about a bishop's job discription, it says you cannot be divorced. He is divorced.

Never said he was catholic, I was noting that something like this is the reason why the Catholic Church has it right.

The Catholic Church at its inception allowed marriage for priests.

 

 

So this idea of priests not marrying was not an original tenet of the faith. It came about in the 1100s I believe during one of the reform movements.

 

 

It is an outdated idea, especially with the dwindling numbers of Catholics.

 

 

As far as the sexual orientation of this bishop. Who cares? Is it going to inhibit his ability to perform the duties of the bishophood? I doubt it will.

I don't wanna know which sexual orientation you are. I don't care what you are, it bothers me that he announces his homosexuality, his divorce and his family like as if he was proud to divorce his wife, which he had two kids with, and destroy his family's life because he wanted to announce he was homosexual. that is what disturbs me.

Gay marriages are a crock, their "rights" are a piece of s***. As far as I'm concerned if they get insulted it is not my fault and they can't complain. They made a choice to be gay. Did I choose to be Cuban? No, so if someone insults my heritage they are going to get it. Did the blacks choose to be black? No, Michael Jackson even chose to become white. So if someone insults them they have a right to f*** s*** up because they didn't choose what they are. But gay people choose to be gay. It is a choice you made, stick by it. If you can't handle the heat, then don't be openly gay. Simple as that.
