July 25, 200520 yr I don't know what any of you are talking about, Gainesville during Summer B kicks ass...? when I was up for Summer B my freshman year I was only sober 2 nights a week, I was out every other night. 873658 I know, I was just up last week visiting my roomate and was sober 0 out of 4 nights, lol. But to someone visiting, the campus can look quite dead.
July 27, 200520 yr Campus life in any school is whatever you make it out to be. Hell, theres a good campus life in FIU, couple that with our nightlife, and its just as good if not better than a college town. Not that Cape would do it im sure, but one of the funnest things you could do in colllege is go greek. Networking, partying, going out, and even doing community service is a blast. And yeah, GT is very male oriented, no scene, and dead campus. Cape would fit right in Seriously though, only 1/4 of GT students graduate. Thats nuts.

The city around it also has some nice Georgia girls. However FSU was really nice. UF just didn't have it. It is dead during the summer.
July 27, 200520 yr the fact that there are plenty of nice ladies isn't the point. The point is that there will be plenty of nice ladies, and MORE THAN PLENTY dudes going after those ladies.

July 27, 200520 yr Author Tech has a bunch of Greek houses, but I don't know yet. Getting thrown into the fountain at Doak Campbell at FSU sounds like fun in October though.
July 28, 200520 yr Orlando has more s*** to do than Tallahassee and Gainesville combined...whenever I visit friends at UF its boring as hell, the dorms are horrible and even when we go out the people are mostly a**holes if youre not a student and only partial a**holes if you are. Maybe it was just the areas my friends were in, but UCF campus life and living conditions are much better. Orlando has about 154 times the entertainment as compared to Gainesville as well.
July 28, 200520 yr Author I get one big complaint about UCF from alumni who return home: Under Construction Forever.
July 28, 200520 yr hey when it improves an already good campus Im not going to complain. Theres plenty of room for it to grow, new housing coming, on campus stadium on the ballot and likely to be approved. State of the art shyte on the way, plus the state of the art rec-center vs 19th century buildings. Ill take modern day over the past any day.
July 28, 200520 yr UCF really stands for u cant finish, Cape. Dude, at least pay a visit to FIU. I believe we are getting a metereology major next year, and we do have the NHC on campus. FIU is growing at a faster rate than any state school. One of the best business, international and hospitality programs in the nation. And yeah, Tech has to be somewhere in the 60-70% male. Yikes. If could, go greek man. You wont regret it. Itll turn college into the best experience in your life, but then again im biased.

I am very familiar with the school, but I had not known they were getting a meteorology major. I know FIU well and if I returned to Miami, that would be my first choice (yes even over UM).

July 28, 200520 yr Yeah I dont blame you. Your parents would have to pay an arm and a leg due to the money they make(im assuming they are well off)

I have a ton of friends at UCF, and made a couple of visits last year. But while most enjoy it there, they know deep down that UF is so much better at everything.
July 28, 200520 yr Author Yeah I dont blame you. Your parents would have to pay an arm and a leg due to the money they make(im assuming they are well off) 877580 They are fixed income as both are retired, but I guess they made "too much" money working and their pensions may still be "too high." However Bright Futures and the Talented Twenty programs have already sent their information to me and I will apply to both.
July 28, 200520 yr Author A Metereology major is hard as trying to conquer Russia. All math and physics. 877707 I know this. You also need a command of geography, computer skills, and some chemistry.
