I almost puked last night. And it wasn't because of the 4 double plays.

 

It was because of McKeon.

 

He did not play small ball after the crucial 6th inning, horribly mismanaged the bullpen by putting Reidling instead of Vargas, did not put someone to pinch-run for Lenny Harris, and overall did a terrible job coaching the game.

 

I used to be a McKeon supporter, but this year he hasn't been putting pressure on the opposing infields, and just seems to lack that enthusiasm and varying tactics he used in 2003 and 2004.

 

I know this isn't going to happen, but it would be for the better of this team if he was gone.

How about Moehler just sucked tonight and that took a lot out of the team.

 

It's pretty tough to spot a guy a lead twice only to see him cough it up as soon as it's given to him...

Riedling instead of Vargas?? Vargas pitched before Riedling dude... :whistle

 

The team hit into about 15 double-plays tonight, and stranded a ton of runners. Plus all the hits were singles. They could've easily gotten back into the game. And Moehler didn't pitch well at all.

 

Did it seem like Pittsburgh scored all their runs with 2 outs? I kept screaming "just get one more out!!!"
