Can't say this series went as we hoped, but at least we get to face the Nats soon and hopefully can do what the braves did. The braves have a fairly easy schedule over the next little bit... 4 vs Pitt, 3 vs Cin... then thankfully the face the Cards, but after that they play 12 straight against the slumping NL WEST at Home. Thankfully we also play the same folks over the next bit and a doubleheader vs Colorado. But the Fish are currently in the middle of playing 21 games in 20 days.

Hopefully we can get this baby rolling now...

not good.

The Nats are going to come here hungry for victory. The Braves did what they needed to do to take sole possesion on 1st place.

Tonight is a must win for us, and we need to win 2 out 3 from the Nats

Damn Braves are gonna win the division. Hopefully the sweep just shows the Nats are dying and won't be a factor in a month or so. The Mets never hold on for too long. The Marlins need to worry about the Cubs, Astros, and Phillies now.

i wouldnt be giving up on the division yet. noone knows what can happen in the upcoming month.

I don't know. Is not looking good. Those damn braves have 16 games at home over the next 22 games or so. but is not over

dont get me wrong. i agree with you that on paper it looks that way. but who knows what happens. the braves are capable of slumping aswell. i think if we stay consistent we can make that push. obviously im a very optomistic marlins fan :thumbup

With a win tonight, Marlins would only be 2.5 games out.

After washington plays the marlins, they have SD and LA at home, then they have a 13 game road trip. So the chances of the Marlins catching the Nats seem pretty good. I think in a week or so, Houston will be the team we will have to worry about.

the way I look at it both are just as good...

we either knock the Braves off the top spot for the first time in 14 years which as almost as good as a WS in my book, I dont want the Nats Phillies or Mets to do it.

or

we win the Wild Card which as history tells us means that we win the World Series...its win win if we get over the Nats and then hold off the Cubs Phillies and Stros

The Nats are beginning to remember they are the Expos with a different name.

Uh oh...
