August 10, 200520 yr http://www.boston.com/sports/baseball/reds...at_big_picture/ Millar looking at big picture He's not feeling crunch of low numbers By Chris Snow, Globe Staff | August 7, 2005 MINNEAPOLIS -- Kevin Millar knows what you're thinking. You're thinking about the home runs, the four that he's hit, the team-high 142 at-bats he's gone without one, the 43 he connected for in the preceding two seasons, and the sudden, precipitous decline. He's just not thinking the same thing. Instead, he's got an analogy. ''It's just like Tom Brady," Millar said last night. ''If you had a fantasy football draft, he'd be your eighth, ninth, 10th quarterback picked. You'd want to take [Daunte] Culpepper, and you'll finish in third place. You want to take [Michael] Vick and Peyton Manning and all these guys. ''I may not hit a home run the rest of this year and we might win the World Series. And I'm a part of this team. Somehow, somewhere, I bring something."
August 10, 200520 yr What a clown. Im tired of Millar's act now. Ive defended him the last few years. His SLG% on the road is....288. .288! Not AVG, no, thats his SLG. Pentagine is the future at first base.
August 10, 200520 yr Pentagine is the future at first base. 897153 :plain just the immediate future i would hope

August 10, 200520 yr Ive always like Millar. I used to watch him play for the Marlins single A team in Brevard. I really hope he starts hitting.
August 10, 200520 yr He's always come across as a prick to me and he's the most arrogant SOB on that team. At least Schill is arrogant and has the play to back it up. Millar is just a talking head.
August 11, 200520 yr Pentagine is the future at first base. 897153 Roberto Petagine? ... that mets 1st base prospect of a few years back? that guy owned the minors for a long time but never cracked it as a mayor leaguer
