August 14, 200520 yr The Panthers 3 prospects in the top 50: 12. Nathan Horton, C, Florida Panthers After a solid 14 goals in 55 games while skating for the Florida Panthers in 2003-04, a shoulder injury limited Horton to just 21 AHL games in 2004-05. The injury dropped him out of our top 10 as any major injury will raise questions on whether the player can return to his former self, especially one as physical as Horton. The 6?2 center can look to this coming season to answer these questions back on the Panthers. A good skater with a strong shot, Horton is the kind player up the middle that NHL teams crave. 34. Anthony Stewart, RW, Florida Panthers Stewart?s stock dropped somewhat in 2004-05 when he failed to build on his strong play from the previous year. At the 2004 World Juniors, Stewart had 11 points in a standout performance, while in 2005 he only managed three goals and an assist. In his final season as leader of the OHL?s Kingston Frontenacs, Stewart led the team in scoring with 67 points in 62 games but failed to best the 70 points he collected in 2002-03. After Kingston failed to make the playoffs, Stewart played ten games in the AHL for San Antonio and had a goal, two assists and a +1 rating. Although his development seemed to slow this season, Stewart is strong in physique and brings more to the table than just scoring. He has signed a rookie contract for 2005-06. 44. Rostislav Olesz, C, Florida Panthers Playing alongside the likes of David Vyborny, Martin Havlat and Petr Nedved on Sparta Praha, the two-way forward was surrounded by a plethora of NHL caliber talent. Playing in his first season with Sparta, Olesz recorded respectable numbers in 2004-05, including 13 points in 47 games, while being buried deep on the offensive depth chart. Still, though, the skill level Olesz not only played with, but practiced day in and day out will only help to serve the future Florida Panther as he continues to develop his offensive game. It?s the same offensive talent that was on display in the 2005 World Junior Championships, where Olesz lead the Czech Republic in points with 10, en route to finishing among the top five in the tournament in scoring, helping the Czechs capture the bronze medal.

August 14, 200520 yr Author I like DiPietro a lot, he played well for the U.S. team in the World Championships too. The game I went to here, whic was just a "warm-up" US vs. Canada game, he looked very good. I believe we won 3-2. Down 2-0 with Brodeur in and then they went to Luongo and we tied it in 2 minutes. :mischief
