August 20, 200520 yr Source WEEI Bellhorn's AAA stats before getting his walking papers: .176/.243/.324, 24 k's in 68 ABs
August 20, 200520 yr Well...he was a big contributor to the World Series, but his at-bats frustrated me to no end. Too many K's!
August 20, 200520 yr Bellhorn is a guy you can't help but like, especially if you know enough about the game to realize that the K's didn't matter, as long as the OBP was there. Great attitude, and he was always a sleeper in the Sox lineup, and a much better fielder than he looked. Arguably should have gotten the Series MVP over Manny.
August 20, 200520 yr He'll be in the majors again soon. Every AB is either a K or BB....he has decent power.
August 20, 200520 yr He's a decent enough player that gets on base enough to get a job somewhere else in the majors.

August 21, 200520 yr I like this guy, but I guess the Red Sox don't need him anymore with Graffanino and Cora. Sure a K isn't nice with men on base, but so isn't a DP.. Important thing is his OBP was pretty nice and he has some power. And he was very important in the post-season for the red sox last year, he really didn't hit anything the first few games of the ALCS, but he won them game 6(if Ortiz didn't have those big hits in game 4 and 5, someone else still may have won the game for them, but if it wasn't for Bellhorn they would have lost game 6.
