August 21, 200520 yr I think he's had more bad then good since his return.. most of the games I've seen when he came in was bad.. Is something wrong still with him? :confused

August 21, 200520 yr nothing wrong wit him he just isn't that good 909890 Alfonseca isnt that good? Are you kidding? 909891 Judging by his comprehension of the english language, I am gonna guess and say he became a fan after 2003. Alfonseca is one of the better relievers in the game. He just thinks every reliever is Eric Gagne.
August 21, 200520 yr The first few games after he game back, he was on fire. Lately, he has been a little shaky but he has also been coming in during Vollone's jams. It has happened a few times. AA doesn't make me nervous at all when he comes in at the beginning of an inning.
August 21, 200520 yr Alfonseca was never lights out at any point in his career. He was a horrible closer even when he got all of those saves that year. 910013 Isn't that true of most closers? Atleast Marlins' closers.
August 21, 200520 yr IMO he's been used in the wrong situations. Folks are right about him when he starts an inning, he gets the job done. Speaking of relievers any word on Mecir? If he's healthy the fish can get by not using Villone so much and he seems to handle the mid-inning massacres better than Alfonseca.
August 21, 200520 yr People get on Alfonseca for blowing the game last night, but Villone let 2/3 of the batters he faced reach base. Alfonseca had to clean up an awfully bad mess. Not to completely exonerate him, but even at his worst last night, I have more faith in him than Villone...
