September 4, 200519 yr I don't think you can count Justin Upton, since he doesn't look like he will sign anytime soon. The best shortstops right now in the minors are Stephen Drew, Joel Guzman, Brandon Wood, and Ramirez. Alexander Smit in the Twins organization has been lights-out as a reliever.
