The Arizona fall league a known stepping stone for players to make the majors is gearing up to start in October. The Marlins minor leaguers participating are pitchers Logan Kensing, Taylor Tankersley and Nic Ungs, infielders Robert Andino and Josh Wilson, and outfielder Reggie Abercrombie. Also playing for the Grand Canyon Rafters with the Marlins will be Lastings Milledge.

Kensing wont be there in a playing capacity will he? How is his injury/recovery coming along.

Logan is on his way to Arizona tomorrow as a matter of fact...arm is great....Andino is due to fly out Sunday night after the final season game in Miami....he is not happy about that....wants to spend some time with his wife and kids....not likely that his wishes will come true....

WHAT!? I thought he had Tommy John Surgery.

Really? If we make the playoffs, wont we keep Andino to take either Easley or Gonzo's place?

Nah I knew he avoided surgery, but I thought it was going to take all offseason and part of next year to get completely better.

Andino wouldn't be eligible for playoffs if the Marlins make it he was brought up after Sept. 1st.

Why isn't Hermida going?

Because Hermida has already destroyed AA pitching and will getting a full season's work in next year.

he can be eligible if he's replacing someone because of injury

No he wouldn't unless he was on the disabled list on the major league roster before Sept 1st. Since he was recalled on the 1st or 2nd he still wouldn't be eligible due to the fact he had not played in a game or been on the active 25 man roster before that date. Not that it matters anyway if the Marlins don't make the playoffs.
