August 17, 200323 yr its possible he past Luis streak, he's really hot right now so who knows. but there is no way he will break Joe D's streak
August 17, 200323 yr He'll get the all-time NL hitting streak record from Rose, but he won't reach Joe...
August 17, 200323 yr He'll get the all-time NL hitting streak record from Rose, but he won't reach Joe... what is that? 43-44? he wont get that far, its just to hard. this is probably the hardest and most underrated thing to do in baseball
August 18, 200323 yr Sure, I think that he will break Castillo's streak! I think mybe he gets 38 or 39, and defenitely not within 15 of DiMaggio's record. I think it would be fun to see him break Joe's record, just like it was fun to see Mac hit the record for Hrs in a season and Bonds after him, but this is harder. To get 59 hits in 59 games, he has to be consistent, he has to get a hit, game after game after game. To break the HR record you can go hitless for a few days and then hit 3 homers in a game, but to break a hit streak mark you can't do that! Oh well, good luck Albert.

August 18, 200323 yr Have you all forgoten that Luis hold that record for the longest hitting streak of Latin Born player?
August 18, 200323 yr He might be able to break Joe's record. I believe he can see the future, so he'll sit out every game that he wouldn't have gotten a hit in.
August 18, 200323 yr who forgot? no one has mentioned it and Pujos is latin so Luis's record is in danger right now.
August 18, 200323 yr its not that big of a deal, at least to me it isnt. Luis said that if anyone broke his record he wouldnt mind Albert being that guy. Pete Rose and Joe D. now those are some records
August 18, 200323 yr I'll be rooting against Pujols while he hasn't gotten to luiy yet. But if he passes luiy I'll be rooting hard for him to beat Joe D.
