I saw just about any big name prospect who came through the International League from 1988 to 1998. I haven't went as much lately though.

 

Richie Sexson hit a HR over the scoreboard in 98, that was pretty awesome. Our 98 team had Mike Lowell, Shane Spencer, Ricky Ledee, Chris Singleton, Mike Figga, D'Angelo Jimenez, and THE Scott Pose on it. That was a fun team.

 

I saw Brad Eldred, Robinson Cano, and Ian Snell this year. I went and saw Jhonny Peralta last season.

haven't named a lot of recent players...Stopped going to Reading when Portland lost Marlins affiliation, pretty much only went to Portland-Reading Phillies games...except for Burrell, Phillies didn't have a lot going for it for a decent chunk of time

I saw several in the Florida State League. For the Winter Haven Red Sox I remember seeing Brady Anderson and Ellis Burks. I wouldn't call him a star but I saw Ron Mahay, a future Marlin with WH Sox too back when he was playing OF.Danny Tartabull with the Reds Tampa Tarpons team. I even saw future Marlins with other organizations like Enc with the Lakeland Tigers and Niner with Baseball City Royals. The player I remember most was Lou Whitaker who won the league MVP in FSL and two years later the Rookie of the year award.

Billy Wagner was some sort of awesome when he played for the Quad City River Bandits
