October 25, 200520 yr Anyone else excited about this coming out???? I was a huge fan of the first one and the second one looks just as scary...i hope there's some sort of tie between the two of the movies. It's disappointing that none of the previous guys are in the movie though. What have you guys heard?

October 25, 200520 yr The same reason they made the first one... money the first one wasnt about money ... well they all are but it was an independent film by an independent company that was good. the second one is to make money
October 25, 200520 yr Eh, LGF made cheap movies but they already had a few hits by the time Saw came out so it wasn't a real indy company per se. Not to mention it was given a wide release with a pretty hefty advertising campaign so it wasn't really an indy film. Either way, the sequel will probably suck but it'll get my 6 bucks anyway.
October 25, 200520 yr I'll definitely see it, loved the first one...I didn't find it scary but I loved the suspense. And Rune...6 bucks for a movie? Man, it's almost worth driving up to PA for tickets that cheap.

October 26, 200520 yr I liked the first one alot, even if the acting of the two guys who were trapped in the room was awful. I'm pumped for the second one and definitely am going to see it sometime Friday or Sunday.
October 26, 200520 yr Didn't think the first one was great, wasn't bad but it certainly wasn't as scary as a lot of people led me to believe...creepy because it could be copy-catted, but not scary. I'm going to see the second one though, but you know that this one will be much gorier, probably diluting the creepiness of it...
October 27, 200520 yr The first one sucked, so why not create an even suckier sequel? Agreed. I never got why so many people enjoyed this move. The ending was horrible and the acting was awful. Danny Glover should be embarrassed. I mean who really is that scared of a puppet on a tricycle?

The final line of the movie, "Game Over!", I laughed out loud at.

October 29, 200520 yr Saw it tonight - if you liked the original, you'll like the sequel. If you didn't, well, at least the acting is a little better in this one.

I had to see it twice... :plain The lights went out about 1.5 hours into the movie the first time i saw it (this afternoon) and so they gave me a raincheck and I saw it at 7:30 again. Awesome movie...but I liked the first one too. Oh, and the UNC players were in my theatre.

And this thing is going to do very well at the box office, I saw an unrelated movie tonight, and the line for that bad boy was outrageous.

Anyway, I think my favorite scary movie is Psycho. The horror is so freaking effective even though everyone knows what's coming.

I fully expect Saw III to be made sometime in the near future.
