November 30, 200520 yr I think he was expecting Delgado since he sort of danced around that issue when confronted about it at the conference. Beckett probably came as a big surprise. He can't gripe about it given that he's a rookie manager, but he did say that he liked the idea of winning here more than overseeing a rebuilding in Tampa...that has to count for something. He'll make lemonade out of lemons for two years and then probably get the hell out of dodge...
