Best Movie You've seen this year

Featured Replies

We'll go with best movie you've seen in the theatre this year...

1) LIFE OF DAVID GALE - great movie. It's a liberal movie, but I am not totally for the death penalty. I am still wishy washy on that topic. But, whether you are for or against it, it's a great movie.

2) OPEN RANGE - just saw it last nite, finally. It's a great movie, I thought. There are some slow parts, but being a western, they had to have parts that built up the love, the range, etc. The gun fight scene at the end was great.

3) TEARS OF THE SUN - great movie. Got to see it with a friend in the air force too, hehe. But, it was a great movie, with action comin the whole time.

i forgot the name of the movie, but that one with Matt Damon as some assasin in the CIA or something was badass. Thats the only movie worthy of being badass this year.

tears of the sun I havent seen. it looks awesome though. I cant wait to see it.

lol Gigli. Movie of the year for sure. Should definitely be nominated for movie of the century.

Ok, I never saw it...and will never see it. That's a promise I made to myself as soon as I saw the previews for that. There are 2 promises I've made to myself. 1) Go my whole life w/out wearing a thong. 2) Never see Gigli. So far, 2 for 2.

yea, those commecials of gigli were hard to refrain from puking. I wonder how many stars taht movie got though.. maybe like out of one star it got like 1 of the edges of a 5 edge star... if even that.

I'm glad though that nobody is watching that crap.. I thought it would have some success though, since Legally blond part 1298 is still successfull i figured people are still dumb these days, but gigli was just THAT bad.

Im glad also, because that stupid fake wh0re JLO finally gets what she deserves. She used to be good when she first came out, but now she thinks the universe revolves around her and is an abnoxious fake money made bi*ch. that tom hanks wannabe afflac is a no talent overated parasite himself.

I hope its the end of both of their careers... wishful thinking though...

true or false: JLo gets more uglier with the more money and success she gets.

answer: true. she is overated.

jlo doesnt do it for me. I'm not into the whole big booty thing. I like a nice athletic a$$.

Ive heard nothing but bad reviews on Gigli.

But back to topic, anyone else wanna contribute?

In Theaters? Hmm It'll take some remembering since I haven't seen that many good ones there:

Star Trek Nemesis: Good Stuff, saw it in January. I'm a Star Trek fan and this one was good for the series. Up until the end anyways.

Bad Boys 2: Kicked f***ing a**. Nuff Said.

The Matrix Reloaded: Was ok, wasn't the greatest but it was among the better theater movies this year.

X Men 2: Surprisingly not bad.

American Wedding: Funny Stuff. But Bad Boys was better.

Movie of the Year so far? Bad Boys 2 (no sarcasm).

Ive actually heard nothing but good things about Bad Boys 2. I have friends who really didnt wanna see it, but because everyone else did, they saw it too, and really liked it. I was out of town when everyone saw it. So, oh well.

I thought it had cheesy sequel written all over it. But I wanted to see it anyways because of the whole Miami connection, and it turned out to be seriously worth the 9 bones I paid for it.

ddaannnngg 9 bucks? Man, I go to CinemaWorld in Melbourne...stadium seating, surround sound, etc.....5.50 w/student ID

whats Identity about?

It's hard to explain without giving away the enemy but about a serial killer striking down on a motel of stranded motorists. THIS IS NOT A SLASHER MOVIE. It's a mystery/thriller like THe Sixth Sense and the ending is just as suprising.

It has John Cusak and Liotta, It was actually a popular movie this year, I'd rent it when it comes out on DVD.

Well, when you have your friends pay by credit card instead of waiting it comes out to about 9. Plus we aren't mean guys and we pay for the girls' tickets more often than not, so its more.

Life of David Gale is a must see. It's pretty intense though. Definitely makes you think. And Open Range was a sweet movie. Maybe because I'm partial to westerns, and Robert Duvall.

Yeah, that's a nice theatre. Been there a couple of times.

I hear the Oaks on Hibiscus has been renovated, and has stadium seating. Supposed to be as nice, if not nicer than CinemaWorld (closer for us too), and 50 cents cheaper (5.00).
