They continue to shoot themselves in the foot with the loss tonight. We can track they're progress in this thread.

Currently 1-5 I believe?

Tied with Marlins for Wild Card lead

Go Expos (right now),

It seems to me that with 20 games to go, it's already getting to them. I can't wait until September, when the division beats up on them.

Tomorrow Vicente Padilla faces Zach Day. Surprisingly, Day has a better ERA than Padilla. Day (7-5, 3.33) has been a little know surprise for the Montreal Expos. This has the potential to be another very well pitched ballgame, although last time I said that Randy Wolf allowed 9 runs in less than 2 innings. Let's see how this game ends up, but I have the feeling that the Expos will win.

Here's what I predict:

Expos 6 Phillies 4

W-Day: 7 IP, 4 R, 3 ER, 5 SO, 8H

S-Biddle: 1 IP, 0R, 0 ER, 1 SO, 2 H

Of course I'm wrong, but...

The phils offense is going to be nonexistant in a couple of days.....mark it down.

The Phils look awful right now.

Their starting pitching is collapsing.

Their bullpen is overworked because Bowa is an idiot and they are struggling.

The offence is still not firing on all 8 cylinders.

Thankfully, for Expos fans the Fish ain't doing that much better ;)

Mark down another L for the Phils. On day 9 of their swing, the records look like this in the same stretch:

Phils: 1-8

Marlins: 1-7

The comments about Bowa being a moron and the bullpen being overworked are spot on.

The team is in utter freefall. The saving grace is that, somehow, they still are tied for the wild card lead. Though only for a few hours.

Bowa is absolutely determined to destroy the bullpen and grossly overmanage the entire pitching staff. I've never see Phils fans so pissed.

The Expos are playing out of their heads and, following what has happened to the other WC competitors, will probably hit a rough patch once they get back on the road.

As an aside, the Expos fans have been nothing short of sensational during the Phils series. The strong attendance should put Bud Selig's panties in a twist more that they are currently.
