  1. Phils *always* have problems with no-name pitchers.
  2. Don't worry Fins Phans - scoring ten runs in a game is always the death knell for the Fightins the next game.

Wait...Prior is the best pitchers in the majors today? Gimme a break. He is a superb pitcher who has a strong chance to be a front of the rotation starter for the Cubs for years to come, provided he stays injury free. But in terms of this season, I wouldn't put him ahead of five or six ML pitchers. Players I would take over Prior right now: Schilling, Pedro, Javier Vasquez, Halladay, Zito, Hudson, and Mulder. Add age as a factor and Prior moves pretty close to the top. I still need to see more performance out of him; I certainly would like to see far more from him before I would make the blanket statements and predictions about him that are being made here.

Ibleed, stop trolling your lame Philly propaganda over here. It isnt working. Your payroll is ridiculously higher than ours and are getting the same results we are. And you think Stinnet is going to help you out? No, us losing Lowell has a bigger impact on your success than anything that team of yours can do. Boy, it didn't take long for that excuse to be wheeled out.

The comments about Bowa being a moron and the bullpen being overworked are spot on. The team is in utter freefall. The saving grace is that, somehow, they still are tied for the wild card lead. Though only for a few hours. Bowa is absolutely determined to destroy the bullpen and grossly overmanage the entire pitching staff. I've never see Phils fans so pissed. The Expos are playing out of their heads and, following what has happened to the other WC competitors, will probably hit a rough patch once they get back on the road. As an aside, the Expos fans have been nothing short of sensational during the Phils series. The strong attendance should put Bud Selig's panties in a twist more that they are currently.

The only thing about David Bell that the Phils are missing is that at least it gave Burrell comfort to know that there someone on the team who actually sucks this year more than he does.

    Wait, we suck more!
  8. We suck. Can someone send me a Marlins jersey, size XL? I can't stomach to wear my Phils one anymore. I'm for the Fish all the way.
  9. I think the Phils and the Fish will hold off the other teams and make the WC a two-team race. At least I'm hopeful of it. I think this thing is going to be resolved during all those upcoming head-to-head matchups... I'm trying not to get too high or too low.
  10. By the way, the Phils have far more to be ashamed of that the Fish. The Brewers totally suck. At least the Rockies are tough at home but the Brewers? Uggh. I'd put a small mental star at the Marlins side of the abacus tonight...
  11. I think you dudes are right. It IS over. Completely. Utterly. Sadly. Now that the Phils are absolutely on fire, the wild card race is over. Kaput. Call the engraver. Only that the Fightins are blowing chunks these days, too. Huge, massive ones. While I think either the Phils or the Marlins will win the wild card, if I was Atlanta or SF, I'd quietly be starting to look for some hotel rooms in Seattle or NYC about now.

Two teams that don't deserve the wild card: the Marlins and the Phils. Go D'Backs!
  13. Clemens can lick me. I'd love to see him pitch for Team US and get lit up, the prick.

Abreu doesn't even make the list? He plays in your own division for crying out loud.
  15. but i know we got one of the best if not the best rotation in the majors! A good rotation, but certainly not the best in the majors. I'd take Oakland, the Yankees, the Cubs, Arizona, and the probably the Dodgers before the Marlins. I'd even be tempted to take the Phillies but the problem with the fifth starter and closer would make me lean toward the Fish.
