Suddenly...we ask ouselves...is it the end?

Featured Replies

Uh Oh...We are starting to play like the '02 Marlins. What is going wrong? Well, it's kind of obvious. The Marlins surprises just aren't surprising...their slumping. D-Train? Slumping. Seabass? Slumping. Cabs? Slumping. A-Gon? Slumping. No wonder we don't have the best record as of late. The question is, can we turn this around while so many people are slumping? Of course we CAN turn this around, but by the time we turn this around will we be out of the race? If the Phillies keep playing the way they played today, we can slump and still win the wild card. Let's turn this thing around...before it's too late!

Go Marlins!

Nielsosky,

You claim to be a Marlins fan, but show little sense. At least when Fillet is pessimistic he uses some sort of reasoning to his madness.

You need to take your Prozac.

Go Marlins!

In a 162 game season, there are slumps. The championship teams find ways to minimize those slumps.

did you say Cabs slumping?

and did you say Sea Bass and Alex slumping?

we lost 2 in row, everyone jump ship

My point is--is this the beginning of a long slump? It seems like a lot of people are slumping on our team right now. At least we aren't playing the way the Phillies are...

are you oblivious?

Marlins and Phils have almost the same exact record recently and we are 1/2 game back because we lost 1 more game

Cabs isnt slumping

Alex and Sea Bass ARE THE SAME PERSON

didnt we win 5 of 6 before we went to Colorado (where nobody except for the Rockies win)? lol, lose 2 in a row, and we are slumping.

lol..."is it the end?"

The season is hopeless...look how far back in the Wild Card race we are! Oh wait, we are tied for the lead.

to tell the truth, i wont be surprised if we lose tonight

the Rockies have a great batting order, ok pitching, they know their park well, they play their field well.

but i am surprised that we're tied for the wild card lead and people are asking if its the end.

but...hopefully brad and his spectacular night start record can salvage a game for us

I predicted would have a hard time in Denver, but the Bay area should bring some relief. A sweep in Denver is possible, and likely. Hopefully the Fightin' Fish can pull off a win tonight to take the WC lead solely.

Yeah, maybe I'm talking about slumps a little too soon. After all, we are going to kill the Phils in September!

Uh oh, the Marlins are gonna have another fire-sale at the WAIVER trade deadline

Mike Lowell has been traded to the Yankees for Drew Henson :p

JUMP SHIP!!! :p

Really, the fact is THE MARLINS are the hottest team in baseball and Cabs is definetly not in a slump AGon is the only one who is in a slump really. But with the way the top 5 batters in our lineup are hitting, i dont think we need to worry that much about AGon as he will come out of his slump at the end of the season

:marlins

Cabs? Slumping.

Are you insane? Cabs probably has our hottest bat right now.

BTW: What are you freaking out about? We still have a better record after the AS break than any other team in baseball...

Nielsosky is right. It's the end of the season, people. Let's just call it quits right now, because there's no use in playing any more games. We don't have any hitting and don't have any pitching and have lost a devastating 2 games in a row!! Well there's always next year!

I mean, it's obviously over, because as I type we're only in the lead for the wild card and all... :lol

This is insane. It's the end because we lose 2 games in a row. :banghead

It's the end because we are a tied with the Phillies for the wildcard and 2nd place in the N.L. East. :banghead This thread is absolutely ridiculous. It should be closed. It's not even close to being the end. THINK Nielsoky.

Nice post...

GEES we've only lost two games. We all know that the Marlins always lose to teams that they should cream....let's see what happens tonight.

On to San Francisco. I'll bet they'll buckle down and get some wins there!!

Isn't it great when people panic because we actually lost a game!

We're Marlins fans, we aren't used to losing :p

Niels isn't the only one panicking. The Phillies mlb board had a thread titled "Is it time to turn off the lights?" before today's loss against the Brewers. They had won 5 straight before dropping 2 on the road and were leading the Wild Card race but their fans thought it was over.

If we go 2-4 or even 1-5 on the Colorado/San Francisco trip, we'll still be in decent shape, thanks to Milwaukee. I'd be unhappy to lose that many games but better teams than us have gotten beaten on west coast road trips.

Well, the Phillies might have a little to be worried about after being swept by the Brewers. I'd rather be swept by Colorado in Denver than swept by the Brew Crew in Wis.
