This is real life, how athletes continue to put themselves in these types of situations is beyond me, especially one that has a wife and two children. Of course nothing has been proven yet, and charges against athletes have been proven false before, but to be charged with rape, sexual assault and unlawful restraint on the same day the alleged event took place, theres got to be some kind of evidence.

August 29, 200322 yr WPLG.COM Castro, 27, from Vega Baja, Puerto Rico, was taken to the Allegheny County Jail late Thursday, where he was being held on charges of rape, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, sexual assault and unlawful restraint. He will likely be arraigned on the charges early Friday. Legal interpretation..... Arrested for vaginal penetration (rape) and anal/oral penetration (deviate sexual intercourse). Unlawful restraint does not necessarily mean he tied and/or bound her, it may merely means he inhibited her right to leave of her own accord from the situation after she made her willingness to depart known. Not to be negative, but these types of charges are not leveled against an individual on a whim with no evidence. If there was any shadow of a doubt as to Castro's intent or the viability of the victim's complaint during the interlude he would of been facing a lesser charge of 2nd or 3rd degree CSC or coercion. Ramon is phucked with a capitol F. The ASA/DA has to have substantial physical evidence in order to justify the serious nature of the charges. Without specific knowledge of Pennsylvania legal code, I still can imagine that conviction of a crime of this nature carries significant jail time, a'la 10 to 20.
August 29, 200322 yr damn...maybe they should've made that deal with San Diego for Rondell White..... seriously though this is just terrible. bad for the team certainly, and i guess castro seemed like a decent guy but when it comes right down to it i don't know him any better than i know a total stranger, so it doesn't necessarily come as a shock. there are plenty of athletes (and people in general) who think they're entitled to women.
