February 13, 200620 yr I was sitting here in my car this morning waiting for a meeting to start so I started looking for info on MLB 2K6. I was not very excited with EA losing the rights to the MVP line. However, to my suprise, I was shocked when I saw some of the screen shots of the game that is to be released on 3/13. I will post the link on the bottom of this post so all can see. Some of the features include a new movement system(which personally I am a little hesitant about), Collisions in the field and on the basepaths, And my personal favorite, they are including all rosters on the WBC squads as well. I am stoked about that one. Here's the link http://screenshots.teamxbox.com/gallery/13...aseball-2K6/p1/ p.s. Lots of the screenshots have D-train striking out the D-rays
February 13, 200620 yr They dont look to bad... WBC roster is AWESOME! I will rent it and check it out... Although I still haven't had time to sit down and play NCAA, I want to go out and rent/buy it soon..
February 13, 200620 yr they had to do this to us right.... take a look.... but they also give us this one, i think it might be dtrain but not sure.... forgot two more..... its a punch in the balls, it hurts.... i plan on buying the game and reuniting the MARLINS.
February 13, 200620 yr Wow that scoreboard at Shea Stadium sucks. Stadium graphics don't look too impressive.
February 14, 200620 yr Luis Castillo and Juan Pierre look really realistic... Delgado looks younger than Cabrera, though. No wrinkles, no greys? Yea right... 2K6 must be promoting Just For Men...
February 14, 200620 yr I'm gonna stick to MVP 05 for awhile. I hope 2K6 is alot better than the last one cause that game sucked, looked fantastic but the gameplay blew big time.
February 14, 200620 yr I'm sticking with MVP 05, mostly because there aren't any other PC alternatives
February 15, 200620 yr I'll still buy it, but this game looks pretty sh*tty. I agree, it does look pretty sh*tty. I'll stick with MVP 2005 + mods from mvpmods.com
February 15, 200620 yr Something about it looks off... And I guarantee the gameplay doesn't come anywhere near NCAA 2006.
February 15, 200620 yr Something about it looks off... And I guarantee the gameplay doesn't come anywhere near NCAA 2006. Pretty much an opinion statement. I think you are just used to MVP. I've been playing 2K baseball since it was World Series Baseball in like 2002. I've always thought it was a more realistic and complete game then MVP. MVP was always so cartoony to me and the graphics were never up to that of the 2K series. I have played my friends NCAA 06 game and I dont know how that game was so well recieved. The graphics are pretty poor for a game on a system that has been around for so long. That game gets incredibly tedious and doesn't have the 'flavor' or interest of the college game like a NCAA football has. But like I said, matter of opinion and what you are used to. IGN has a bunch of videos up of real games played through, you may want to give those a look.
