Me and a few pals are planning the "world's longest bar crawl", in other words we are going to bar hop all the way to Miami through Paducha/Nashville/Chatanooga/Atlanta/Orlando. Gonna hit as many as we can on the way there, stay in Miami a few nights to go to some Fish games, and then do the same on the way back except through Tampa/gulf states/Texas/Oklahoma/Arkansas/Missouri.

What are some good bars/clubs to go to in Miami?

Sounds like you lead a fantastic life.

Live punk sounds good. They cover bands or do they do their own stuff?(I ask because there is a cover band here called bumping uglies that does alot of dropkick murphys, blink 182, mxpx, and nofx... and they are frickin awesome).

Thanks man. As I said, it's this trip to see my team or Cancun during spring break(preferably when MTV is there).

It's a total money issue right now.

for those of you in Miami.......prepare like it's a hurricane and bar the windows and doors for Spike.

I'm not sure. Depends on the night I think.

If you're going to play golf, you're better off at Doral or the Biltmore in Miami.

Will you be without internet access during this trip?

And please miss College Station, Texas...nothing to see there.

Are they expensive?

If cost is a problem, golf probably isn't the sport for you in the first place.

Besides, if price is indeed an issue, just go to Granada which is across the street from Biltmore.

forget churchills

in a bad neighborhood and not that many bars around it..

go to coconut grove.

lots of good bars there..

sandbar, moes, fat tuesday, firkin and friars, etc.

I'd agree that you and your friends would probably enjoy the collegey Coconut Grove scene the most, as opposed to the club scene on South Beach.

That said, there's no excuse for not visiting South Beach. Since you're touring bars, it's mandatory that you check out the Delano and the Clevelander. Playwright is a cool pub/restaurant place and isn't quite as expensive. Purdy lounge isn't bad for a loungey kind of place, and by sobe standards, the bar is pretty cheap.

Since you'll be going to South Beach, you'll have to check out Lincoln Road, too, though there aren't many bars there--mostly just restaurants and shops.

Oh, and Churchills is nice for locals, but I doubt you guys would get much out of it. It's down in the ghetto, near where I live, and I sure as heck wouldn't tell tourists to come around here.

Just happy to go honestly. Never been further south than Orlando(where a stop might be necessary for some golf). While a few of us are leaning towards Cancun, it will still come down to money.

if money is an issue you won't be swinging the clubs in orlando...played a round up there recently over $250 almost for 18 holes :-)

Like I said, its not really that money is an issue, just going to need exactly how much to take. Thanks for the info too, ya collegy bars would prob be the way to go. No kareoke bars though...had a few kareoke+whitesnake incidents lately, too embarassing to go into.

But honestly, thanks much everyone. Keep places coming.

the water is really cool....just take your car and keep driving off the dock.....Cars float in water real well
