The Tripod...ESPN/Barry Bonds/Pedro Gomez

Featured Replies

did anyone else catch espn last night? All the way from sportscenter, even COLLEGE GAMEDAY, ALL OF BASEBALL TONIGHT AND OTL. Barry bonds this barry bonds that. seriously, what's everyone elses thoughts, as for me i wouldn't mind if the guy never saw another pitch his entire life. but this espn bulls*** is just beating a dead horse already, maybe i'm doing it too but hey why not, comments? :deadhorse :deadhorse

ESPN likes to feed on things like these, they will follow every aspect as long as its a huge step in the process.

Barry just needs to plain out admit it, its going to look even worse for him when the proof is given.

And this 3 part special chronicling *Barry's career? Disgusting. This is probably the best time of the sports season -- the Final FOur is this weekend, Spring Training is wrapping up, NBA and NHL regular seasons are almost over, the NFL draft is around the corner and all they're talking about is Barry Bonds.

The beginning of the baseball season has seemed to be overshadowed by the daily drama of Barry Bonds and steroids the past 2 years. I agree with you Mets_bs its absolutley disgusting.

Just change the channel.

Where else can you get decent baseball coverage? Living in the northeast, I'm spoiled with the Red Sox and Yankees networks, although it also gets kind of repetitive since those channels are a bit slanted but for the rest of the country, you have nothing except your local news sports (which sucks).

The World Wide Web.

If ESPN is where you think you can get the best information, you are out of your mind. Especially in this day and age.

theres nothing to watch on tv, and even espn.com is f***ing ridiculous, i don't give a sh*t when barry bonds is going to swing at his next pitch, hit his next home run or when he's going to break records that shouldn't be broken...by him.

Say what you want about Jim Rome, but he was talking about the conflict of interest in the CEO of Disney(which owns ESPN, who is doing a Barry Bonds reality show) heading the investigation.

Said he might as well let Barry Bonds do the investigation of himself, let him say he has found no evidence that he in fact took steroids, and then let him say "let me put on my size 14 hat, and get back to the most statisticially impossible late career run ever"
