April 8, 200620 yr heres the problem which ran through my mind when i saw the title of the thread: A year ago, North Carolina junior Sean May said he would return upon the championship Tar Heels returning home. But he later declared. So, it's probably good to wait for the 29th once all the emotion from the title is over before locking in the three Gators for next season.

Or if Carmelo stayed how many titles Syracuse coulda won???

April 9, 200620 yr Author Noah wouldn't be top 5, but I know what you're saying. Him and Brewer were most likely to go, but when you hear Noah talk--he seems like a genuinely intelligent person. And intelligence would dictate that he stays for another year--he'll only get bigger and improve his game (which, if he entered the NBA now, would be considered very raw).
April 9, 200620 yr Marvin Williams was a raw player from UNC and got taken number 2 last year. Dwight Howard was raw out of high school, number 1 pick. Same with Darko, Kwame, Stro Swift, Bender, and many others. This is weak draft year, Noah will most definitely get taken in the top 5 if he enters the draft. Edit: Not saying anything against a college education, but if he was smart, he should go now and get the money because he could suffer an injury in college that would hurt his draft status.

But Noah doesn't need to go to the NBA because he can improve his game even more and he dosen't need the money. Well if he stays in school and comes out when he's actually ready he'll be able to really contribute in his first few seasons. That means when he gets a new contract after hsi third year he can get one of those max deals (if he does turn out to be good enough) If he leaves now he has a few problems: He's really skinny and although he is a good free throw shooter is form is horrible. Noah really seems to be enjoying himself in college and not only does he not definitley not need the money btu he really could improve his game in a few areas.

I also don't see Noah's draft stock improving dramatically next year if he decides to return, but it could potentially drop if he comes back and has a sub-par season. He's just come off a great NCAA tournament run, and really what could he do next year that would top what he's just done? Repeating wouldn't, IMO, drive his draft status up enough to risk returning and getting hurt or playing poorly.
April 9, 200620 yr I see what you guys are saying that Noah's stock won't get any higher but I think this is an unusual case. His paretns have plenty of money and he reallllly seems to love being in college. I just don't see him leaving Florida because he really looks so happy at school and he looks like he has so much fun. Horford is a different story though. I expect him to leave school.
