April 11, 200620 yr Ovechkin scored the game winning goal in overtime tonight and in the process also picked up his 100th point this season becoming only the 6th rookie to ever get 100 points. There's is no way Sidney Crosby is going to win the Calder trophy (rookie of the year, for those of you who don't follow hockey), infact Crosby may not even place 2nd with Henrik Lundqvist.
April 11, 200620 yr some great young talent in the league this year also I was at the sharks/coyotes game tonight and my man Cheechoo just keeps producing love the way ovechkin plays though - also love that hit he put on chelios in the olympics and the goal he scored out here in the desert
April 11, 200620 yr Very impressive. This would have never happend if they didnt change the rules to free players up. Cheechoo is really benefiting having Thorton on his line, and I think the Sharks have a great chance in the west
April 11, 200620 yr agreed - i'm loving the NHL this year - only downside is how long you have wait to get a whistle to return to your seats after buying beer noticed 3 sharks are in the top 20 in points - thornton is totally revitalized as well cheechoo is fun to watch

It's actually become rather comical. Every night my friend in San Jose calls me up... "Hey man Cheechoo scored 2 goals tonight he's f***ing sweet!" and every night I go look and they're all assisted by Thornton :lol .

Wow, re-read that.

April 12, 200620 yr Oh come on guys, I think we all know Crosby will be the better player. Ovechkin is two years older than Crosby. That is a lot in terms of physical maturity and emotional. I still think Ovechkin will be amazing, though. some great young talent in the league this year also I was at the sharks/coyotes game tonight and my man Cheechoo just keeps producing love the way ovechkin plays though - also love that hit he put on chelios in the olympics and the goal he scored out here in the desert Without Thornton, Cheechoo is nothing. Thornton makes everyone better. Thats just incredibly baseless.
April 12, 200620 yr i think crosby will develop into the better player - but I still love what ovechkin brings to the table as for cheechoo this is his 3rd season up - only his second where they were relying on him .. this is the first time he's been on the first team PP, the first time he's been on the top scoring line - and he's still developing as a player his style is very entertaining and he's shown talent ever since the playoffs as a rookie for having a knack at goals of course thornton makes him better - and it's logical that his goals are assisted by him because they play on same PP and scoring line
April 12, 200620 yr Adding to stellar class of rookies, Petr Prucha scored his 30th goal of the year last night giving the Rangers the first ever in hockey history combo of a 30 win rookie goalie (Henrik Lundqvist) and a rookie 30 goal scorer (Petr Prucha). BTW, watch out for this Jarkko Immonen kid, he is a great player -- The Rangers have some major offensive fire power waiting to make the big club next season.

April 14, 200620 yr it was definetly a mistake for me to draft crosby before ovechkin in my fantasy hockey draft :confused
April 14, 200620 yr Isn't Sidney on the worst team in the NHL? he's on the pittsburgh penguins, so just about..
