May 5, 200620 yr Here are some fun stats on Josh Willingham. This is where he currently ranks in the National League (for all players with at least 75 at bats). Tied for 4th in Doubles (with 10) Tied for 7th in RBI’s (with 24) 8th in SLG % (at .630) 8th in OPS (at 1.049) 12th in BA (at .326) Not bad for a rookie…
May 5, 200620 yr not bad, good for Willy. I really like his 7th place on the rbi column; he's been our most clutch hitter. Marlins shoulda really used him earlier in his career, but oh well, he's here now.
May 5, 200620 yr It's ridiculous how comfortable he is at the plate. It's like he's a 10-year vet. "Has a plan" as the saying goes. I'm trying to think of another player he reminds me of at the plate...
May 5, 200620 yr I'm trying to think of another player he reminds me of at the plate... Honestly, I see a lot of a right-handed version of Jason Giambi. Doesn't matter what the situation is, he's getting you to throw him his pitch and he's usually going to punish it.
May 5, 200620 yr Had Josh stayed healthy all year, we could have had a better chance of reaching the playoffs last season with Willy in LF and Miggy at third.

McKeon wouldn't have pulled the plug on Lowell early, or given playing time to a rookie over Conine. Hell, Hermida was begging to play in the final month and he didn't really get it. Oh well, we're here now and he looks damn good.
