Posted May 11, 200618 yr Anyone familiar with the first original series on HBO? I'm back home for the summer and went over to my Brothers condo, he has all of the seasons on DVD. What an awesome show.
May 11, 200618 yr yeah it was great but its also the most f***ed up show ive ever seen. i aint watched an episode since the finale and im gonna keep it that way. in fact i actually think it would be more effective showing this show to kids who are potential felons than sending them to a prison for one of those scared straight shows.
May 11, 200618 yr Few months ago I dedicated a week to watch all the seasons, a couple of EP's a night. I had caught all them on HBO originally. If you can overlook all the man on man rape scenes its a very well done show with some great acting. Part of the reason I am a huge Law and Order SVU fan is b/c half the cast from Oz is on there.
May 11, 200618 yr Ya I used to watch that. Was one of my favorites. I remember my mom would always yell at me when she was me watching it. Too violent I guess.

May 11, 200618 yr How far Harold Perrineau (sp) has come... From weelchair to walt. And let's not forget Mista Eko. He was such a badass on this show.
May 11, 200618 yr I've been re-watching it On Demand lately...one of the best HBO Series ever. It was defintely over the top and often unrealistic, but the acting was amazing. Only bad thing was that they kept it around too long and the last few seasons weren't nearly as good as the earlier ones. Adebisi and Ryan O'Reily were beasts.

I think it's b/c he was such a badass for working in that prison but at the same time he was such a p***y whipped bitch.
