Alright, here's how this thing works. Later on in this post you will see the name of the movies nominated in this specific genre. They are presented in order by how many nominations they received, and then subsequently in order alphabetically when tied with the same number of votes. The number of nominations appears in parenthesis next to the movie title (with those not having a number receiving one nomination). Number of nominations was only the number of mentions the movie received in this specific genre.

Now, with that out of the way, here's the process. Simply look at the movie list and post your own list from the list of movies on the nomination list that you believe everyone, no matter what, must see. Feel free to poke fun, argue with, or ask for explanations from other users who may post lists. The point is to draw a general consensus on which movies should be viewed by everyone. If I see a movie that's getting a lot of issue over with more than one poster on each side of the debate, I'll post up a poll and have everyone speak specifically in that topic about that movie. Now, with all that out of the way, here's the list:

Strangers on a Train (4)

Psycho (3)

Silence of the Lambs (3)

North by Northwest (2)

No Fight Club votes yet?

Memento (added in subsequent post)

.....

If Memento and Fight Club don't make the list I'm just going to go ahead and quit voting. These are certainly two of the defining films of our generation, and they MUST be on this list.

I cannot believe I spelled Memento wrong, not once, but twice. Wow.

Probably one of my top 5 all-time films and I can't even remember to spell its name correctly.

These are my must sees:

Psycho

Silence of the Lambs

Vertigo

The Usual Suspects

North By Northwest

Donnie Darko

Memento

I guess that's where I stop. Donnie Darko and Memento just made the cut for me. Donnie Darko because it's one of my Top 5 movies ever, and Memento possibly only because of the lobbying going on in this here thread. It was a really cool film, though. Who nominated U.S. Marhsals? Confess.

Pretty amazing that the top nominee in the genre only received one vote in the real voting.

This'll be open until tomorrow barring new votes.

That's it. New one coming soon.
