May 29, 200620 yr Just keep watching the local sports pages for info. I remember 4 years ago one of the papers had a huge listing of places to catch the games. I went with a friend to watch France's first game at a French bistro in the Grove...at 6 AM. But it was fun, especially since France lost.

May 29, 200620 yr Got the HDTV ready for some World Cup Soccer! Even though I don't get ESPN2-HD, I do have ABC and ESPN in HD...so I get to watch 2 out of 3 Team USA First Round games in HD and the first game on ESPN2 I can watch on Univision for fun. I am glad to see a good, live, and HD schedule of games on ABC/ESPN/ESPN2 and Univision/Telefutura/Galavision continuing with live games on Univision and the encores on Telefutura/Galavision.

I will be rooting for Italy (My family is from Italy) when they are NOT playing the US ( I believe they are in the same group). I will obviously root for my country :usaflag With that said, most places that will be showing WC matches will likely be frequented by fans of foreign teams because lets face it.......the sport is not popular in the States.
May 30, 200620 yr Try Hot Shots on University Drive in Sunrise...located across the street from Hooters & Goldfinger. Multiple tv's - they have a very large international soccer following there. Hot Shots :thumbup

May 31, 200620 yr Catch, you know of any good spots at the beach where italians will be following the game by any chance? Also...Switzerland- Italy is at halftime now. 1-1. Horrible game so far on our part. In defense only Cannavaro is showing good things, Zaccardo and Grosso are scaring the fans. Camoranesi and Gattuso in midfield are doing great things, but they are isolated. Totti is looking horrible but its understandable he just needs playing time to get his groove back. And someone please murder Del Piero for me the guy is complete garbage. Other than that we had one chance and one goal in the first half hour so at least we are making the most of our opportunities. I hope Switzerland plays this well against France thats for sure. Update: game ends 1-1, but Italy played much better in the second half. Toni up front is a beast and should be a starter. De Rossi should also be starting. A few minor injuries to Grosso and Iaquinta but they should be fne. Anyways, in 1982 Italy played a friendly before the World Cup against the Swiss in Ginevra like today, game ended 1-1 like today...

June 1, 200620 yr sandro I know you hate the master del piero but you cant deny that what he has done for the azzurri shirt. Last world cup the man saved us a couple of times, the same cannot be said about Totti who has shined in roma but always comes miles short of being the player that he is with the azzurri. About your question im probably going to go to a friend of the family's restaurant club for a game or two, Its called nando's and its in hallandale beach ... kind of expensive but there will be a nice atmosphere I would expect. Also there is that restaurant down on south beach, I cant think of the name but its thats spanish restaurant where I would usually go for good spanish games with friends ... las tablas or lavadero de las tablas I cant think of it but once I remember ill try posting it im gonna play it by ear since I going to visit family outside the country and watch it where the sport is felt and more exiting
