June 8, 200620 yr I think it's lasted for a while and done well for a sitcom. What are your thoughts of this show?
June 8, 200620 yr I used to watch it alot a while back, now not so much. My favorite episodes are the one with 'Mentalo', when Doug is going for the consecutive accident free work days, and when Doug tries to make the football team.

By the way, that is wrong info about Kevin wanting more money.....and the show has been renewed for its ninth season (2006-07 season) on 5/15/06.
June 10, 200620 yr It's actually not wrong. Kevin James was contracted until Season 8 so he was due a salary increase. The show puts up mediocre ratings and it wasn't worth it financially to increase his salary. The show will have the ultimate send off this January (later than the usual Fall premiere).

That's not what Kevin told me last Monday on the phone. He thinks it may go a 10th season....we shall see :thumbup ..... I think it depends on how they do this year. The cast is very close and they hang out off the set as well. Kevin has 3-4 movies on the way as well so maybe he's done with TV. Now that his show is syndicated, he's set for life like Ray Romano.

Then my wife and I started watching the repeats on UPN and we've been hooked since. Maybe I can relate more to it now because I am married. I was single when the show started. BTW Kevin James does great stand up comedy too. Saw him at the Mirage in Vegas a few trips ago.

I saw him up in Boston. His "Sweat the Small Stuff" on comedy channel was good also.
June 11, 200620 yr Author Some info....on why the show's starting later this year The late start for the show (January-not fall) will allow star/executive producer Kevin James to work on his big-screen career some more, following his scene-stealing turn in "Hitch" last year. James is attached to star in "I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Admin," a comedy about two straight guys (James and Adam Sandler) who pose as a gay couple so they can receive domestic-partner benefits. It's directed by David Dobkin ("Wedding Crashers"), and is currently scheduled for a summer 2007 release. ............................................ I met Sandler at Kevin's dads funeral. They were talking about starting a movie then....hopefully it goes well!
