Its his newfound mission in life. Making a hard working, solid defensive catcher with some pop on a low budget team sound like the second coming of Satan.

No, its not. It's just that Olivo is not even solid. He is horrible, I repeat HORRIBLE, at blocking balls in the dirt.

 

As I have said, he has a strong arm, but thats about it. The rest of his game is average, AT BEST, on his very best days.

 

He is not a solid defensive catcher.

 

And, no, I dont really care for a scrub playing on his 4th team in 5 years. There's a reason he hasnt stuck. And if he is as good defensively as(for whatever reason) some of you think, he'd of stuck as a defensive replacement.
