June 19, 200620 yr Pirates of the Carribean - Dead Man's Chest Superman Returns Clerks 2 Talladega Nights
June 19, 200620 yr Most of those same movies, but also the WWII movie Flags of our Fathers, something like that. It's about the Battle of Iwo Jima and the lives of the men immoralized in the raising of the US flag on that island.
June 19, 200620 yr -Idiocracy (if it ever comes out) -Superman Returns -Click (I don't know why, but I laugh at all the previews, plus it's got Hasselhoff and Walken!) -The Moguls sounds good (small town bands together to make a porno, with Jeff Bridges, Tim Blank Nelson and Ted Danson) -Fast Food Nation -School For Scoundrels -This Film is Not Yet Rated (story of the R-rating and it's use) -Jackass Number 2 -Southland Tales I might possibly see the new Bond, but it depends on how faithful to the original it is and whether it's an actual spy movie or just another mindless action shoot-'em-up. I'll probably end up seeing some of these movies and not all, but these are the ones I have an interest in.
June 19, 200620 yr The new Bond movie is going back to the roots of the character, showing him as a less experienced guy at the beginning of his career who makes mistakes. Could be more like GoldenEye than TND or TWINE. I still find it odd that they decided to restart a franchise that was doing well. The last one made close to $200 million domestically, and was the highest-grossing Bond film of all-time.

The last one made close to $200 million domestically, and was the highest-grossing Bond film of all-time. Maybe it's because they've become boring and cliche? It doesn't offer me anything that Bourne Identity or the first Mission Impossible did a lot better, and those movie had some actual spying elements to them. For those that don't know, the Bond series didn't start out as an action flick. Sure, it had elements of, but if you watch Dr. No, From Russia With Love and Golfinger it's a lot more suspense leading up to something potentially blowing up. Bond also uses his wits more than a gun or gadgets to get out sticky situations. Which is why the newer Bonds have sucked (Well, since the late Roger Moore ones). They've gotten away from the elements that made it great and continue doing things that, while are apart of the franchise, were added later (i.e. the badass right hand man/freak of the main bad guy, gadgets themselves, Bond using any gun other than a Walther PPK). Arnold Schwarzeneggar could play Bond and be believable at it, in the current form of the movies they put out.
June 19, 200620 yr Snakes on a Plane and Casino Royale are the only ones I'm really waiting for. I'll probably see most of the movies on the lists in this thread, though.
June 19, 200620 yr Author What about Rocky Balboa? Noone else is anticipating this? I have a lot of faith in the movie because the studio gave SS complete control of the production. He's writting, directing. and producing his 4th Rocky movie (II, III, IV, VI).

June 20, 200620 yr Clerks 2 could be funny, we'll see. A little disappointed they went Hollywood/formulaic with it.

I thought it was someone's idea of a joke when I initially read about it. It just sounds bad to me.
June 20, 200620 yr I don't know what possessed the studio to let Stallone make ANOTHER Rocky movie, after there have been so many already. Didn't they bury the franchise enough yet? It just seems like they're resurrecting something that was dead and buried long ago.
June 20, 200620 yr Nobody wants to see Clerks 2? I forgot to add that and Snakes on a Plane. Jay and Silent Bob movies have all been good minus Chasing Amy after the black guy's speech at the beginning.
June 20, 200620 yr Flags of our Fathers is the only movie worth buying a $9 ticket for this summer. I pretty much agree, but if you can find it(it still is playing in some theatres) definalty check out this movie - The Proposition By far the best western since Unforgiven. http://imdb.com/title/tt0421238/ 9.5 out of 10. Simply amazing.
June 23, 200620 yr I read the book Flags of Our Fathers 4 years ago. I've always been interested in that battle. I'll have to check out the movie eventually.
